Trilochani wonders how Arundhati kept quite even after knowing about the lost chain where on the other side Arundhati calls the village notables to make an announcement to the whole village. Parsuram identifies the chain saying it belongs to Trilochani but Shankar straight away denies believing his words and thinks of Trilochani as a person who misleads the public.
